I think what bugs me the most about the LA win is the fact that Vegas called it pretty much from the beginning of the season. Even when other teams were rising to the top and the Dodgers were lagging behind in the rankings, Vegas still had the Dodgers as the favorite to win the World Series. Crazy right? In addition to that, there is a futures bet right now and the Dodgers are the favorite to win the 2026 World Series as well. Sadly, the Tigers aren't even in the list right now. It's LA, the Yankees, Philly, Houston, And Seattle. Barf! I think with those choices I'd rather see the Dodgers win again. Although the Philly's could be fun. I think what is more exciting for me next year is that the World Baseball Classic should be taking place. That's actually a lot more fun to watch than regular MLB. Things are really heating up on the college side of things as we race towards the tournament. Meanwhile, our niece is getting ready to start post season play with her high school team this week. They have a match tonight that they should win pretty easily, and then a match on Wednesday that we are hoping to attend in person. I'll get to my regular NCAA football and NFL update in the coming days, but I didn't honestly get to watch too much football this past weekend. We subscribe to YouTube TV and they recently had a bit of a spat with Disney that saw ABC and ESPN vanishing from our service. I thought our subscription to Hulu would cover us, but apparently that only happens if you are paying for the more expensive package. I love YouTube TV, but this isn't the first time they have had issues like this with Disney. I haven't been able to watch a Tigers game in forever due to them removing Fox Sports Detroit from their lineup. It's pretty sad that things are worse than they were when the cable companies were your only choice. I hope eventually we can get back to a time where sports are readily available at a reasonable price. I think that is wishful thinking though. If you haven't had a chance yet.
