A seriously exciting series

It feels like it has been forever since I wrote a post about Major League Baseball. While I have been jetting around the country, some games have been happening and some big things have been taking place, and I want to cover them all with you right now. When we left off, I think the Brewers were up three games to zero over the Dodgers, and Cleveland was tied at 1 and 1 with Tampa Bay for the ALCS title.
Well, needless to say, a lot has happened since then.
Thursday night as I was traveling on my way to Austin Texas, the Brewers stunned the world and swept the Dodgers in four games. Their 6 to 4 victory earned them a spot in the World Series. They simply had to wait and see what happened over in the American League.
Turns out they would have to wait quite a while.
The Guardians snagged a 3 to 2 win against Tampa Bay on Thursday night to move them up two games to 1 in the American League Championship Series.
Which set them up for a Friday night game that ended up being postponed due to the weather.
They picked things up on Saturday with Tampa Bay coming alive and beating the Guardians 7 to 3 to make the series even at 2 and 2.
Sunday, the Rays moved a step closer to the title beating Cleveland 3 to 1 and improving their lead in the series to 3 and 2.
Finally on Monday, the Rays bats had another big night propelling them to a 7 to 3 win over the Guardians and securing their spot in the World Series.
Which brings us to right now. Now we wait. Game 1 of the World Series is set for 8:00 PM on Friday night between the Rays and the Brewers. Vegas is giving Milwaukee the advantage and if you have been watching them or the National League in general this season, you shouldn't be surprised.
Yahoo sports indicates that tickets for the game are currently going for about $2442.00 USD a piece right now. Sorry, but I don't think I could ever spend that amount of money on a baseball game.
I think an important thing to note is the fact that the two teams playing in the World Series are the two teams that were number 1 in each of their divisions at the end of the regular season. Personally, that makes me feel pretty good about this matchup. I don't mind an underdog most of the time, but I really didn't want to see Cleveland in the WS.
Wish granted!
