At Least That's Something

The Lions didn't lose this weekend, so at least we have that. Sure, it was a bye weekend for them, but still, not taking a loss is a win in my book! As I said yesterday, I didn't get the chance to watch a lot of football this weekend. Especially on Sunday. We got up around 6 AM Central time and headed to the airport where we sat and waited for our plane to leave at 9:45 on Sunday morning. We landed in Columbus from Austin around 1 PM EST and then it was a four or five hour drive to Michigan that put us home around 8 PM. Needless to say, I went right to bed.
The good news is, that should be the majority of my traveling for a while, so for the rest of the season, I should be able to follow the Lions as they play. I just hope they actually start winning some games. Sure, they had that big win against Arizona, but that was a bit of a gimme, so I don't really count that one. As I said before, if you are excited about that game, you are clearly not paying attention.
Thursday night, the Broncos took the Seahawks into overtime before taking them down 17 to 14. The Texans beat the Jaguars in London 34 to 31, and The Bears beat The Falcons 31 to 23.
We were listening to the Browns game as we were heading home from the airport and when I last heard it they were down 10 to 0, so it is interesting to see that the Browns ended up beating the Ravens 13 to 10.
The Titans finally got their first win of the season beating the Colts 26 to 20, The Patriots beat The Jets 26 to 19, and The Saints beat The Giants 34 to 27.
The Panthers added to the Eagles woes taking them down 25 to 14 and The Steelers edged past the Buccaneers in overtime 26 to 19.
The Cardinals beat the Rams 18 to 16 to move both teams to a record of 2 and 4 on the season. The Chiefs took down the Chargers 22 to 6 leaving the Chiefs still undefeated and the Chargers still with zero wins. The Bills beat the Raiders 33 to 30, and the Packers sent the Cowboys packing 23 to 13.
Finally, last night, the 49ers took down the Commanders 23 to 17. That means along with KC, San Fran is still undefeated this season. Minnesota still remains undefeated after their bye this weekend, and Miami still doesn't have a win after they didn't play either.
Detroit is going to have a tough job ahead of them with Green Bay next weekend. I hope they used this time off to get their crap together so they can snag the win!
