It was a good day

My Saturday morning started off pretty great this past weekend. I went for a walk with my wife, then I did a bunch of work around the house getting ready for the Winter season. I still have a lot to do, but some of the most annoying work is finally out of the way. In addition that, I had a great sense of relief knowing the Michigan State Spartans would not lose a football game this weekend.
The fact that they were on bye this week was a small comfort to me. So they didn't win, but more importantly, they didn't lose. I'll take it!
Sadly, I didn't get to watch nearly as much college football as I had planned on watching this weekend. Just as I was getting ready to settle down and spend some time on the couch, @mrsbozz alerted me to the fact that the power outlet in the bathroom was not working.
I ended up spending the next four hours trying to get that working only to have to finally give up and push it until the next day. It was frustrating and not relaxing at all.
It would seem I missed some really good games too which kind of ticks me off. The good news is, I did get the outlet fixed the next day after getting some guidance from my buddy, but that doesn't help me watch football now does it?
Syracuse had a huge upset win over number 19 SMU 30 to 27, and Iowa got the underdog win against number 25 Wisconsin 30 to 0 in what has to be a bit of a stunner. It's not that the Badgers have been great this season, but getting shut out is pretty bad.
Oregon had an upset over number 20 Northwestern, but I really wouldn't call it a big deal. Oregon has been pretty decent this season minus a recent slide they were on. It's not unbelievable that they would fight back for the end of the season.
Minnesota took number 4 Indiana to overtime, but ultimately came up short 23 to 16 in what was a pretty interesting game. I got to check out a bit of it as I was taking breaks from cussing at the electrical outlet in the bathroom.
Iowa State took down number 24 Oklahoma 51 to 49 in an offense heavy game. Number 1 Miami retained their top spot, but it wasn't for lack of effort on North Carolina falling short 38 to 35.
Finally, in the biggest stunner of the weekend, USC took down number 2 Ohio State 30 to 18. I did get to see a bit of that game too and it was quite impressive to see USC taking it to the Buckeyes!
