It's really not okay...

So week five of the NFL season is in the books and there are probably a lot of Lions fans out there right now feeling pretty good about their big win on Sunday. I'm not one of them. I think it would be futile to look at the week five win over Arizona and think that everything is okay. It's not okay, for a wide variety of reasons, but I'll get to that in a little bit.
One of the shining spots in the weekend was the fact that The Buccaneers had a stunning Thursday night win against the Cowboys 24 to 16. It's not that the Cowboys are really good this year, but until now, Tampa Bay had zero wins on the season. That means the Cowboys managed to lose at home to one of the worst teams in the NFL. It's so deliciously sweet!
Probably not if you are a Cowboys fan...
After a couple day break, the NFL came back on Sunday hard and heavy with an absolute banger of a game from London. I was actually at my parents house so I didn't see most of the game, but if the last quarter of the game was any indication, it was intense. Those last couple of series were just amazing and despite the crowd noise, the way Jacksonville pulled off the 19 to 17 win against the Eagles was amazing. Well played Jags.
However, the Bears/Packers game was a huge disappointment. I think a lot of people were hoping the Ben Johnson magic could carry them through this game, but Wisconsin is a hash state and playing at Lambeau is no small challenge. Add to that your QB is still hurt, plus the passing of a Bears legend, and they had a lot stacked against them this week. 31 to 7 was the final score in favor of the Packers.
The Texans beat the Titans 26 to 3 keeping Tennessee among the worst teams in the NFL. I sit there alongside the Dolphins who lost to the Bengals 31 to 24. Neither Miami or the Titans have won a single game all season.
The Patriots hammered the Raiders 45 to 17, and The Vikings squeaked past the Saints 23 to 13. The Jets had a big win against the Browns 17 to 12 and I think that gives them more wins this season than they have seen the past two years (don't quote me or fact check me on that though).
The Steelers beat the Colts 34 to 22, and then in a rare occurrence, the Giants ended up with a 27 to 27 overtime time against the Commanders. The Broncos beat the Chargers 23 to 17, and as I mentioned earlier, the Lions had a nice 45 to 21 win over the Cardinals. Arizona is only 1 and 4 on the season, so the fact that Detroit kicked the crap out of them isn't really something to celebrate. Yes, it's nice, but it should have been a foregone conclusion. The fact that everyone is so hyped about it is not good in my opinion.
The 49'ers beat the Seahawks 32 to 29, and The Ravens beat the Falcons in overtime 30 to 23.
Finally, the Monday night game also went into overtime with a thrilling victory from the Bills over the Rams 37 to 24.
I should mention that along with Tennessee and Miami, the Chargers are also at the bottom of the NFL with zero wins. On the flip side, The Vikings and the 49'ers are the only teams who played this week that are perfect at 5 and oh. I should also point out that KC was on a bye this week, but they also have zero losses on the season.
