Unfortunately, it was a lot worse than I was hoping for. The fact that they scored more points and gave up less points against the number 3 team in the nation Notre Dame is the sort of thing that gives you a sick feeling in your gut. The good news is, despite the Spartans being in a "rebuilding year" which effectively means they suck, the Michigan Wolverines aren't doing very well themselves. After dropping out of the top 25 due to that stunning loss against Iowa last week, they had an even rougher go of it this weekend when Minnesota manhandled them. The 20 to 14 win by the Golden Gophers was one of the only bright spots in my day on Saturday. Sadly, that's still better than the 31 to 3 loss Michigan State had against Wisconsin, but a loser is a loser is a loser, so at the end of the day who had more points scored against them or how many they scored themselves doesn't really matter. Meanwhile, back over in the top 25, Number 25 Missouri had a massive 45 to 17 win over number 8 Florida. That makes the match up between Texas and Florida in just a couple weeks a bit less significant than it did in the past. It also kind of makes the big Florida win last weekend look more like a fluke than anything. #### Perhaps the Gators got a little bit of a big head after the big win last weekend. South Carolina gave number 24 Kentucky a run for their money taking them into overtime, but ultimately falling short 35 to 34, and allowing Kentucky to stay alive in the top 25. That was really the only close call of the weekend and the Missouri win over Florida was the only upset of the weekend. How crazy is that? I know it's bound to happen every so often, but I just expected a little more this weekend. With Michigan State on their way to a losing season, there isn't a lot to be happy about. As I said though, the one silver lining is the fact that right now, it doesn't look like U of M is going to have a much better season either. ---------- ### [My Sports Account - @bozz.sports](https://www.peakd.com/@bozz.sports) ---------- #### Come hang out in [The Pub](https://peakd.com/c/hive-178138/created) [Find us on Discord](https://discord.gg/cCEMJXAEXk) Or Check out my [Grilling and Smoking Community on HIVE](https://peakd.com/c/hive-138631/created) ------------- ![TEAMUSAhive_footer_bozz.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/bozz/fXpCTKUZ-TEAMUSA-hive_footer_bozz.jpg) ---------------- *All pictures/screenshots taken by myself or @mrsbozz unless otherwise sourced*
