Weak Week Seven

While I spent my morning on Sunday sitting at the soccer pitch watching my niece play with her team for the annual "Soccerween" weekend, I spent the afternoon the couch watching some NFL football and finishing up my book. Speaking of my book, if reading were a sport, I absolutely won the trophy this past weekend. I will probably write a post about it on my main account, but I completed a 500 page book in something like four days. That's gotta be a record right? At least for me! Hopefully @gooddream sees this post so I can brag a little more!
Unfortunately, my nieces team didn't do so great. They got hammered pretty hard by the other team and I think the final score was probably something like 10 to 2. Despite that, she did a great job at goalie. It could have been a lot worse because the majority of the game was played in her half of the field. It was a relentless assault, so she was basically just doing everything she could to keep the ball out of the net every 30 seconds.
It was brutal.
The Bears continue to have a pretty good NFL season going with a 5 and 2 start and a nice 30 to 24 win over the Patriots on Thursday night. The bad thing is, the Vikings are having an even better season, so no matter how well the Bears do, as long as the Vikings keep winning, they are probably going to be left out in the cold.
The Steelers beat the Saints 16 to 10, the Falcons handed the 49ers their first loss of the season 29 to 20, and the Browns beat the Titans 27 to 24.
As I said, the Vikings remain undefeated beating the Colts 16 to 10, the Dolphins grabbed a rare win over The Jets 28 to 25, and The Buccaneers beat the Panthers 43 to 13.
The Bengals topped the Ravens 35 to 13, The Giants got an overtime win against The Texans 27 to 21, and The Broncos slammed the Cardinals 30 to 16.
Thankfully, the Lions got a win over the Packers 20 to 17, the Rams beat the Raiders 35 to 21, and the Seahawks stunned the Chiefs 20 to 3 handing KC their first loss of the season and making The Vikings the only undefeated team in the NFL now.
Meanwhile, the Chargers are now the only team in the NFL with no wins on the season. As a Michigan State fan, I totally feel for them. Then again, as a Michigan State fan, I absolutely don't. There isn't much that makes me happier than seeing a former Wolverine coach fail. Except maybe a former Ohio State coach.
