The football leagues have been on a pauze for nearly 3 weeks and are now back. it kind of feels like starting over since pretty much all teams (especially the poor ones) claimed they were going to use the break to fix their weaknesses. So i'm just going to be rather cautious as trends in form and play styles might not be the same as they were 3 weeks ago. One match tonight...

SK Beveren vs Lommel

The main story in this match as I see it is that Beveren at home is unbeaten for a whopping 530 days. In the last home match they executed the plan of a low block against Stvv perfectly and took a 2-0 win getting 0.72xg against. The match before at home they won with 3-0 against OHL which was an exagerrated score and at home against Anderlecht they somehow took the win but it could have gone differently. So for me it feels like I want to start chasing the Beveren home loss if they are the favorite at some point against a good team. Away from home they are at 0 points on 12 so by no means are they the team that is just really good. Lommel right now is in 12th place despite being the team with the least amount of xg created at an average of 0.94 a match. In their last match against Kv Mechelen they did not want to run into counters which only made them create 0.48xg in a match that stayed 0-0. They kind of took the opposite aproach from the match against Union where they played open and free getting crushed because of that with a 5-0 score. The match before at home against Club Brugge they also played defense and lost with a narrow 0-1 score. So if anything I would guess Lommel sticks to defense and counters again as that has shown more successful for them. At the same time, they have shown that it's not unthinkable for them to play freely. I expect Beveren to take the initiative without leaving too much space or taking too much risk. I do feel that the over line is set quite high and I was willing to take a shot of 0.2 units on 1H Under 1.25 @ 1.890, 0.2 units on Under 3 @ 1.939, & 0.1 unit on Lommel Team Total Under 1.25 @ 1.760. Beveren should also be in a good spot to keep their unbeaten run alive but I need a -0.25 line to at least cover part of the stake in case it's done with a draw.
