These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, and injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...
It was another rater frustrating Satrday with again multiple goals deep in extra time that screwed up potential profit turning it into a loss. I'm also not having much fun at the moment and I'm low on confidence. This isn't the first time and it's only a matter of taking it slow and avoiding further losses right now today. So low-key Sunday but I continue to prepare and watch all games.
Genk vs Standard

Genk looked a bit better in Week 8 but that could have been because there was an early goal and Kortrijk isn't really the big opponent. They also managed to win in the cup where they played most of their A-Team. The main difference has been Heymans who came in for Erenbjerg and the fact that once in the lead they start closing things down which both kind of is a good and a bad thing. At the moment though, I'm still not sold on Genk and am not willing to back them as the big favorite even though I think it's likely that they finally got things in gear. Standard showed good things at the start of the season but things seem to have reversed again and they are left with 3 losses in a ron in the league (against Charleroi, AA Gent, & Westerlo). Especially away from home they have been an over team (4W-0L against the total handicap). They did managed to win their cup match with 2-0 vs Dender fielding an A-Sqaud. They are without Nielsen who has been important while Genk is complete. I do think Genk will look to start strong and take all the initiative and I also would not be surprised if Standard coach went more defensive again today. I only was willing to take a 0.12 unit bet on
Genk 1st Half -0.25 @ 1.850
Club Brugge vs Sint-Truiden
Club Brugge managed to win the the Champions League again but it wasn't as easy as the scoreline showed. They could have been 0-2 down at the moment they were 2-0 up. It remains had to oppose them but also to back them and my strategy remains to wait in-game for potentially better lines. When it comes down to stvv, I kind of expected them to have a bad period after losing against Mechelen but they went out to win in the cup playing their best match and also managed to beat Midjilland who had been unbeaten at home for quite a long time. I would not be surprised of Stvv manages to score but Brugge in the end wins by a couple goals still. Odds have been set to that though with an Over 1 team total line on Stvv and a -1.5 handicap. I once again will just wait it out and hope the handicap or odds become with the risk on the home team. I'm also kind of leaning on the corners over as I don't expect a closed down match.

AA Gent vs Anderlecht
AA Gent after a great start which also had everything going their way, now is facing their first dip as they were eliminated in the Cup against an amateur team and they lost in Europe 2-0 against Braga. The thing remains that they have their defense to count on despite the fact that Ngom is still injured. Vergara is also still out and Balikwisha was added to that list. Anderlecht remains a very unpredictable team as they played a horrible match against Cercle last week but still pulled a miracle win at the end, they got eliminated in the cup against Beerschot but took a convincing 0-3 away win in Europe. This is the match between the 2 leading teams in best xg against stats at 0.84 & 0.67 on the season and I would not be surprised at all of Defense wins from Offense today also and for the draw to be a result both can live with. I took 0.2 units on
1H Under 1 @ 2.01, 0.1 unit on
Under 2.5 @ 1.851, 0.06 units on
Under 2 @ 2.670, 0.04 units on
Correct Score 0-0 @ 11.770, & 0.12 units on
Anderlecht +0.25 @ 1.900
Union SG vs Cercle Brugge
Union had an off day against a good OHL not getting further than 1-1 at home but they did ok in the European and the cup match despite all the key injuries to which Biondic was added. Zorgane is still questionable but Sykes is back on the bench. Usually, they don't really suffer from European Fatigues but due to the limited bench this might be a bit of an issue. Cercle Brugge is currently last in the standing and they mainly aren't good enough because they just screw up time ater time. They started really good and should have won against Anderlecht but once again found a way somehow to lose the match. So it's a team still with some potential but they currently can't be trusted. Neither a big home win or Cercle taking something similar to OHL would not be a surprise to me so it's hard to take any bets. So I will just wait and see.
