Man City got the job done, 3-2 over Ipswich, and that means my Last Man Standing run is still very much alive heading into Gameweek 8.
Arsenal got me through week one. City got me through week two. Two different picks, two correct calls, and so far I haven't had to sweat a single final whistle the way some others clearly have.
The pool's thinning out fast though. 35 entered, 25 survived the opener, and every week the margin for error gets smaller. A draw kills you just as dead as a loss in this format, so there's no room to get comfortable.
The tricky part now is both Arsenal and City are burned, and neither can be used again for the rest of the season. That's two of my strongest options gone early, which means the picks from here get genuinely harder — no more easy bankers, just careful reading of fixtures and nerve.
