๐ฆ Eagles Talk #2a โ The Aftermath: The Eagles Train Has Derailed
November 4, 2026 โ Six Straight LossesWell, so much for that!

Saturday morning, I was full of optimism. The Eagles Train was heading to Washington, and I was convinced the Birds would come out fighting after that embarrassing loss to Dallas.
I arrived at Molly's house Sunday night with my six-pack of Happy Dad and a truckload of optimism.
Apparently, I should have brought a tow truck! ๐๐ฅ
The Washington Viruses handed us another embarrassing defeat, 27โ10.
Six consecutive losses.
SIX!
And perhaps the most disappointing part is that nothing really improved.
The offensive line was terrible. The running game was nonexistent. Tanner McKee struggled. The passing game couldn't get going.
And the defense?
Ugggg. Don't even get me started!
We actually jumped out to a 10โ0 lead before Washington scored 27 unanswered points.
Another game. Another collapse.
Have the Eagles Lost Their Way?

I've been thinking about something since Sunday.
I don't necessarily believe Nick Sirianni has lost the locker room in the traditional sense.
I think the locker room has simply lost its way.
I've played on a football team like that.
You still want to win. You still believe in your coaches. You still want to do your job.
But after enough losses, every mistake becomes enormous.
Players start pressing. They overthink. They hesitate. They try too hard to make something happen.
And the harder they try, the worse things seem to get.
I wonder whether that's what we're watching in Philadelphia.
It doesn't excuse the poor football. But it might help explain why a talented roster suddenly looks so completely lost.
Time to Start Thinking About 2027

I hate writing those words.
It's only November!
But at 2โ6, I think it's time to accept that this season is effectively over.
Sure, they're not mathematically eliminated.
But let's be realistic.
I don't see this team suddenly transforming into a playoff contender.
So maybe it's time to start looking toward the future.
Give the younger players some meaningful playing time. Find out who belongs on next year's roster.
If veterans are playing through significant injuries, give them an opportunity to get healthy.
And take a long, hard look at this coaching staff.
I suspect changes are coming, whether during the season or after it ends.

The November 10 trade deadline is approaching, too. Howie Roseman has some difficult decisions ahead.
I don't want a fire sale, but if a good offer helps us build for 2027, it's worth considering.
The Worst Part?
The normal NFL offseason is already painfully long.
And now we've effectively added another two months to it!
But I'll still be watching.
The Giants are next, and maybe we'll finally see something worth cheering about.
I don't expect miracles anymore.
I'd just like to see some fight, some improvement, and eleven guys playing football together.
And, of course, I'll still be heading over to Molly's with the gang.

Because even when the Eagles are terrible, Eagles Sunday is still Eagles Sunday.
The train may have derailed, but we haven't abandoned the Birds.
FLY EAGLES FLY! ๐ฆ ๐
Let's Talk Football!
Is it time for the Eagles to start preparing for 2027?Should Howie become a seller before the trade deadline?
And what would you like to see from the younger players over the remaining games?
Let's hear it!
