A good mornings work
2 min read$2.25 pending

Nothing like being at home for the day and getting jobs done.
The cost of living crisis is hitting people hard in Ireland so anywhere that you can save some money goes a long way.
With a good ton bag of hardwood timber costing about €130 these days having ready access to old timber is a great way to keep the costs down.
While this kind of timber won't last half as long as a good quality hardwood, I managed to fill the full ton bag from just this weeks work and a couple of full attics that needed clearing.
With a little bit of hard work this morning and a few extra minutes on site during the week this will keep me going for 2 - 3 weeks for free and now that the weather has turned cold we have a fire down every evening.
In the meantime I'll be getting a few more bits and pieces every day and hopefully hit another big haul this month to stock up some more.
I've built up a good stock over the summer as well so have about 2 - 3 more ton bags worth stored away upstairs over a few months.
Otherwise I would need at least 2 bags to survive the winter so that's €250 + saved from a bit of thriftiness and hard work.
Anywhere that I can make or save money through a bit of work is a bonus to me as prices keep going up and up.
