Chelsea Are Finding Their Feet Again, But Can Alonso Keep the Momentum Going?

It has been an interesting week for Chelsea supporters, with some encouraging performances, positive news and a few concerns that still need the attention of Xabi Alonso. As a Chelsea fan, I am happy with some of the developments, especially our response against Manchester United in our last game.

Chelsea defeated Manchester United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, and it was a very important victory for us. Morgan Rogers opened the scoring with a brilliant goal before Cole Palmer converted a penalty to seal the three points. What pleased me most was the team's response and the clean sheet. We needed this kind of performance to restore some confidence after our recent disappointments.
Another player who deserves special attention is Estêvão. The young Brazilian showed why many Chelsea supporters including myself are excited about his future. His performance against Manchester United was encouraging, and I hope Alonso continues giving him opportunities. Young players need confidence and regular playing time to develop properly.
However, our injury situation remains something to worry about. João Pedro, Reece James, Jorrel Hato and Jamie Gittens are among the players dealing with fitness problems. There are also concerns surrounding Caicedo's condition. We cannot afford to keep losing important players, especially with several competitions ahead.
On the transfer front, Alex Scott continues to attract attention, with reports linking him to Chelsea ahead of the January window. Although he is a talented midfielder, I personally believe spending around £100 million on him would be too much. We need quality, but we also need to spend wisely. There are also reports that Chelsea are preparing contract discussions with Levi Colwill, which would be a welcome development like I said in my last post.
Tactically, I think Alonso is gradually finding different ways to get the best out of his attacking players. Giving Estêvão more responsibility and trusting young talents could make a difference as the season progresses.
Our next challenge is Sunderland, and another victory would be a perfect way to build momentum before the international break.
Honestly, I am encouraged by what I have seen this week, but consistency is what matters most. One good result does not mean all our problems are solved.
Hopefully, this is the beginning of something better for Chelsea. And I hope get a victory and three points against Sunderland .
