Chelsea Must Find a Way to Survive Without João Pedro

As a Chelsea fan, I can't hide my disappointment about João Pedro's injury. Honestly, this is not the kind of news I wanted to hear right now, especially after what happened against Tottenham. Losing 2-0 at Stamford Bridge was painful enough, and now we have to deal with the absence of one of our most important attacking players for the next few weeks.

What worries me most is not just João Pedro's absence itself, but how much Chelsea seem to struggle in front of goal whenever he is unavailable. We failed to score against Tottenham, and we also struggled badly against Brentford when he was not available. I don't think that is a coincidence. It shows how important he has become to the way this team plays.
João Pedro for me brings more than just goals. His movement, link-up play, and ability to connect with Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers make Chelsea more dangerous going forward. When he is on the pitch, our attack looks more balanced. Without him, the other attackers seem to find it harder to understand each other and create clear chances.
Now, Xabi Alonso has a serious decision to make. With Liverpool waiting for us at Anfield in the Carabao Cup, this is not the time to feel sorry for ourselves. I like Alonso's statement about finding solutions rather than excuses because that is exactly what I want to see from this team.
Thankfully, Danny Welbeck is available, while Emmanuel Emegha is also fit after recovering from his injury. These are options Alonso can consider, although we still need to see how well they can perform in this Chelsea team. I would rather see a natural striker lead the attack than keep forcing Morgan Rogers into a position he is not used to playing.
At the same time, I believe Cole Palmer and Rogers must take more responsibility during this period. We cannot depend on one player to make everything happen. Injuries are part of football, and a team with serious ambitions must learn how to cope when important players are unavailable.
Of course, replacing João Pedro's contribution will not be easy, but this could be an opportunity for other players to prove their worth. Emegha, in particular, has a chance to show Chelsea fans what he can offer too, even though his injury still worries me and I feel like he should not be rushed back when he is just coming back from injury.
I still believe Alonso can find the right solution, but he needs to get his attacking setup right quickly. The Liverpool game will be a difficult test, and I hope the players also respond positively.
As a Chelsea supporter, I want to see a team that can fight through difficult moments rather than fall apart whenever one key player is missing.
